Everything has changed.

Carter now knows the truth. The man he thought was his master is really his rescuer. His brother's best friend. An American Hero in disguise. His heart is broken. His mind is in chaos. And the man he hates - and also maybe kind of still loves - isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

To maintain the operation and save thousands of lives, Nathan and Carter have to work together. They realize quickly that the best way to do so is by playing roles. Life is a lot easier when they're not two broken-hearted men. When they're just a master and his slave. When they can pretend.

But playing these roles turns out to be a dangerous game.

The goal is to make it to the end of the operation alive. Maybe they will. But if they do, will their hearts still be intact?
